Great Entry Level Opportunity in Tech Marketing

We are seeking a dynamic, self – starter to assist with event planning, marketing operations, collaterals, and lead generation / qualification.

This is an opportunity for an individual interested in learning more or applying existing skills to event coordination and marketing. The position offers exciting hands-on experience and the opportunity to gain or enhance new skills! Work with one of the best tech marketing pros on exciting projects.

Job is part-time (up to 30 hours a week) in a relaxed office environment in downtown Santa Cruz with semi-flexible hours.


Partial Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative assistance, including reports on event successes
  • Pre and post event data entry
  • Creating lists to order all necessary supplies
  • Generating lists of potential speaker, attendee gifts
  • Assembling event bags and supplies
  • Assisting with creating marketing collateral
  • Locating new leads and generating awareness
  • Exploring other external events that we can partner with
  • Work to streamline our in-house CRM
  • Assist sales and marketing teams with client services
  • Assist with social media marketing



  • Experience in Marketing, Communication, or Event Planning
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
  • Strong time management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of social media sites and tools
  • Experience with Photoshop and / or Illustrator a plus
  • Above all else, a positive attitude
